The next meeting will be at 7.15pm on Thurs. 4 October at 23 Cromwell St. Jill Missen and Ian Mitchell will give an update on the next phase of the playground refurbishment. Roanna will give us more info about the Art in the Park activities, we need to reflect on the Fun Day, and also make arrangements for the AGM.

Summer Fun day
January 2007
Phase 1 improvements using 106 and Parks money has started. This will provide several new pieces of equipment for children to use in the Summer 2007.
Phase 2 which will add some extra equipment, fencing and landscaping, will be funded from the Lottery Play money allocated to Sheffield, due to be released in the new financial year.

Art in the Park Sheffield- coming to a green space near you!
The Garden Rooms are pleased to announce that we have secured funding for six monthly art events to take place place in green spaces in the Netherthorpe, Upperthorpe and Langsett areas of Sheffield between now and July.
The next two dates are
Sunday February 15th, 2-5pm at Ruskin Park, Burgoyne Rd
Sunday March 14th, 2-5pm at Langsett Green, Grammar St
Art in the Park is an opportunity for people of all ages to get together and explore their environment through creative activities, including sculpture, photography, video, painting, dance and music. We provide some initial ideas and materials (as well as refreshments), but what happens on the day depends on the ideas and inclinations of participants. Feel free to drop by.
We also have opportunities for volunteers who would like to be more involved in the project.
