Minutes of the meeting of the Friends of Ruskin Park, held on 23rd November.

Present :  Councillor Veronica Hardstaff (Chair), Barbara Waterhouse, Richard Saunders (Park Rangers)

1)       Minutes of the meeting held 21st October 2004  
These were agreed as a correct record.

2)       Fun Day
June 11th was proposed as the date for the 2005 Fun Day. This would provide a big opening day event for the Festival. Vicky Williams will get in touch  with a historical re-enactment group to investigate the possibility of their staging some sort of event at the fun day.

3)       Business plan
The business plan was discussed. It looks pretty good, but Richard will do a bit more work on the peoplesection of the plan, then we will send it to the coontact Chris Birks suggested for comments and suggested improvements                                                         Action: RS/KG

4)       Clean up day
A date of 21st May was suggested for the clean up day. RS suggested that we contact John Barber (John.Barber@sheffield.gov.uk) in the Meersbrook Parks Office to organise a skip or rubbish pick up.

5)       AOB
The Greenspace project winds up on 31/12/2004, so RS and LH will not be doing as much work in this area as previously. We are very grateful to Richard and Lindsay and to Lindsay Berry for all the hard work and support they have given us in the past.
