Our Constitution
Name.
The name of the organisation is "Friends of Ruskin Park"
Aims.
" To involve and consult with the local community in planning activities
and improvements in Ruskin Park
" To raise awareness of Ruskin Park as a community facility.
" To raise funds to improve play equipment and park facilities in
line with the wishes of the local community.
" To promote community activities in Ruskin Park.
Committee Structure.
Chair - Veronica Hardstaff
Vice Chair - Rosemary Telfer
Secretary - Sue Ireland
Treasurer - Chris Ireland
Publicity - Alan Garner
Membership of the group is open to all.
An Annual General Meeting will be held in September each year, commencing
in September 2001. The AGM will include the election of the committee.
Eligibility to vote for committee members will be restricted to people
who have attended a minimum of two committee meetings in the previous
twelve months.
Finances.
All monies raised will be held in a designated bank account. The sort code and account number will be made available to all agencies to which the Committee apply for funding.
The Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer will be signatories to the account, and are authorised to act in all financial matters on behalf of the Committee.
The Treasurer will present financial statements at quarterly intervals
from September onwards. Statements will also be made available at the
request of a committee member.
All funds raised will be used to enhance Ruskin Park. There can be no
private gain or profit.
In the event of dissolution of the group any funds will be made over to Sheffield City Council, with the stipulation that it is used for improvements in Ruskin Park.
