Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Ruskin Park, held on Tuesday, 21st October at 8.00 p.m.

Present :  Councillor Veronica Hardstaff (Chair), Richard Saunders (Ranger), Barbara Waterhouse, Brenda Wren, Keith Gower, Louise Gower, Diane Leek

1. Minutes of the AGM 23rd September, 2003
   
   These were agreed as a correct record.

2. Chair’s report
   
   Veronica summarised progress throughout the year. The year started well, but the lease and the business plan have slowed things down. The Fun Day was a great success, and included the painting of the MUGA walls. FORP even managed to make a small profit.
   
   The Chair extended thanks to all members of the committee, all Area Panel coordinators, Jillian Missen, Art in the Park and the Rangers for their continued support  and Ian Loasby for maintaining the web site.

   It was decided to ask Roanna Heller if she would consider being the group’s publicity officer, as Alan Garner finds it quite difficult to get to meetings and Roanna has experience in this area.

4. Treasurer’s Report
   
   Chris Ireland was not present to report, but roughly £400 remain in funds. A small amount of money was raised at the Walkley Festival event in Ruskin Park. Chris wishes to stand down as treasurer.
   
   The meeting passed a vote of thanks to the outgoing treasurer, Chris Ireland, for his hard work and support during the previous four years.
   
   The meeting agreed that Keith Gower should replace Chris Ireland as signatory of the Friends of Ruskin Park bank account.
   
   
5. Further discussions
   
   The application for a Lottery grant is waiting on preparation of the lease and of a business plan. We need a list of section 106 money sources to be used in preparation of the lease.

6. AOB
   
   RS announced that he had a new assistant, Lindsay Hodkin.
   
   It was agreed that we should consult Roanna Heller regarding the date of the Fun Day for the next Walkley Festival. The Festival Dates are 11-26 June, 2005.

   Tuesday, 23rd November. 8.00 p.m. at 23 Cromwell Street.
